Our Story

Enfield Scorpions was restarted in 2018 by Hannah Robson after noticing a need for youth basketball in the borough of Enfield.  We started with just a few players and no coach!  Over the weeks, one of our players, now knows as Coach Damian decided he would like to coach, so we paid him through his qualifications and he began coaching the U16’s and U18’s who by this point had grown in numbers to form a team.

This was the start of our growth model, where we continued to train further high level players and support them to gain their basketball England coaching qualifications.  Not only were they loyal and supportive to the club and invested in it’s growth, but this in turn has provided youth employment in the borough of Enfield, as once qualified they are offered a job coaching for the club.

In 2019 we had now grown to have an U14’s, U16’s and U18’s team and competing in the local league.  2020 through turbulent times for all, and saw the closure or all sessions and competitions for the season.  We came back stronger in 2021, entering the Junior National League with out U16’s and U18’s teams, as well as the CBL hoops local London league to offer competitive playing opportunities for our more developmental players.

In 2022 we entered a full squad from U12’s to U18’s boys into both the National League and CBL leagues, competing amongst high level and well drilled competition.  We have continued this up to present date and continue to strive for continued level of excellence both on and off the court.

We currently have 120+ members in the Enfield Scorpions segment of our organisation and are now working alongside 3 other organisations to provide the highest level of basketball provision for the borough.
